Your data, your screen

Privacy Policy

Dashbordify is designed to keep your dashboard content on your TV. This policy explains what information the app handles, when outside services are contacted, and the choices you have.

No account required

Dashbordify does not require registration or ask for your name, email address, or phone number.

Stored on your TV

Dashboard profiles, tasks, settings, and uploaded images are stored locally on the device.

No ads or analytics

We do not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.

Information Dashbordify handles

Dashbordify lets you create dashboard profiles containing layouts, widget settings, to-do items, location names and coordinates for weather, YouTube video IDs, direct media URLs, and images you choose to upload. This content is stored locally in the app's private storage on your TV device.

The app also creates temporary pairing credentials and session identifiers so a browser on the same local network can securely edit the dashboard. These identifiers are generated on the TV and are not sent to us.

We do not operate a server that receives your dashboard content, and we do not collect personal information through the app.

How information is used

The app processes your information only to provide the features you request:

  • rendering your selected dashboard layout and widgets;
  • saving and displaying uploaded images and to-do items;
  • allowing paired devices on your local network to edit the dashboard;
  • retrieving weather information for a location you select; and
  • loading YouTube videos or direct media URLs you configure.

We do not sell, rent, or use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.

Third-party services

Some optional widgets connect directly from your TV to third-party services. Those providers may receive technical information normally sent with an internet request, such as your IP address, device or browser details, and the requested content.

  • Open-Meteo: Location search text or selected coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo to retrieve place suggestions and weather forecasts. See the Open-Meteo terms and privacy information.
  • YouTube: When you configure a YouTube widget, the selected video is loaded using YouTube's embedded player. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Media hosts: When you add a direct video URL, the app contacts the host of that URL. That host's privacy policy applies to the request.
  • App store: The store from which you install Dashbordify may process purchase, download, device, and diagnostic information under its own privacy policy. We do not receive that information through the app.

Third-party services operate independently, and their practices are not controlled by Dashbordify.

Local network access

Dashbordify runs a small web server on your TV so you can configure it from a phone, tablet, or computer connected to the same network. The app advertises this service locally and uses a six-digit PIN or QR pairing token to authorize access.

Only pair devices you trust. Your browser-to-TV connection remains within your local network, but its security also depends on the security of that network.

Storage, retention, and deletion

Dashboard settings and uploaded images remain on your TV until you remove them, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Pairing sessions last until they are revoked, credentials are rotated, or the app process ends.

You can remove individual images and dashboard content in the browser editor. To delete all locally stored information, use your device's system settings to clear Dashbordify's app data or uninstall the app. Because we do not hold a copy of this information, we cannot recover it after deletion.

Security

Dashbordify uses app-private device storage, randomly generated pairing credentials, PIN-based authorization, and session cookies to limit access to dashboard data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Dashbordify is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app does not provide accounts or send dashboard content to us, we have no user database from which to identify or remove such records.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Dashbordify's features or privacy practices change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the latest version took effect. Material changes will be communicated through the app, its store listing, or this page where appropriate.

Contact

If you have questions or requests about this Privacy Policy, contact the Dashbordify developer using the support contact shown on the app's store listing.
